About the trip
We are resuming our activities after the summer break with a trip to a particularly interesting destination. Beit Likya Cave is a large, complex cave system featuring a wide and impressive array of karst formations, as well as traces of ancient human activity. We will meet on Friday, October 23rd, at the entrance to Mevo Horon and proceed in a convoy to the starting point for the cave. The approach involves a walk of approximately 200–300 meters over steep, rocky terrain. In keeping with tradition, we will distribute maps and allow participants to explore the cave freely, discovering passages that may not be marked on the map. Entering the cave requires the use of ropes or a rope ladder for those who do not have their own suitable equipment. Participation is limited to the first 20 people to sign up, on a first-come, first-served basis. Armed escorts are required.
